You cite stats like batting average. You don't read arguments using stats like BABIP. You think everyone on here is a homer when this has to be one of the most critical message boards on all of the interwebs. You rarely bring anything to the table.

And I'm a major asshole for responding to you. I fed.

You are incapable of disagreeing without being disagreeable.

Like, many of us are guilty of doing that, but we have at least shown the capability of doing that. You have not.

          Um, no.

Trade deadline is right around the corner. Team lost 2 of 3 to the Cubs. No reason to believe they go on a pre-deadline tear vs the Braves and Pirates when they can't take a series from Chicago.

Fat lady. Lost her voice from singing all afternoon.

          GAME.

The Cubs have won 14 of 19, best record in MLB over that time.

The red-hot Cubs took 2 of 3 from lowly Miami.

do you believe that because the Cubs won 14 of 19 that they were more likely to win 2 of 3 from Miami?

I'll ask it in a slightly different way: Did the results of their previous 19 games have any correlation to the results of the 3 games they subsequently played vs MIA?

                  I'll answer my question.

Nothing. The previous 19 games had nothing to do with the results of the Cubs series.

Just like a roulette wheel. Completely independent events.

Hugg, let's order Pirates jerseys online and meet for a beer (or 5) at PNC next week.

We won't know about the overpaying part for a while but the next two episodes of The Franchise are going to be EPCOT
