He's saying Ruggiano > Lee, which is probably fair, but he seems to be assuming (1) Ruggiano plays this way for the rest of the year and (2) Logan will stay in the lineup when Bonifacio is back, which I don't think is a certainty.

I think maybe people don't agree that the team "Fucking sucks."

Also, you sound really stupid when you keep saying this isn't an upgrade.

Dominguez value gets lower everyday. I'm pret surprised he netted this much.

Justin Ruggiano can't .OPS at a .750 clip the rest of the year? Logan Morrison isn't a 1B?

That was actually my first thought. "Wow, people still want Dominguez?"

We should've let him hang out in AAA for 10 years before trading him so we wouldn't remember him being a top 100 prospect.

I hope Erick isn't a guy that's mad at Beinfest for the Miggs trade since that got us two guys who were at that time top super top prospects.

I'm not assuming Ruggiano plays this way the rest of the year obviously.

I've never blamed Beinfest for that trade. So, yeah.

Regression's a nasty thing, especially when you're on the wrong end of it.

I agree, this move doesn't change much really. A maybe Pedro Feliz and a 2nd pen lefty doesn't matter to the bottom line so who cares.

But Lee is certainly better than the assortment of Cousins/Petersen/Coghlan/Gaby/whoevers they have been trotting out. It would be nice to see them make a "big" move for Span or Bourjos and a reliever and "go" for it, but eh. At least they are trying.

Carlos Lee is basically the equivalent of nothing these days.

                        He's 30 year's old and had a .621 major-league OPS entering this season.

So maybe he can. But I'm not sure why it should be expected.

No, Gaby Sanchez is nothing. Lee is slightly below average at worst. You're an idiot.

Like I said, he's definitely going to regress.
I'm just saying I think we just traded for a bad baseball player. I wouldn't have a problem with it if Carlos Lee was good or had some sort of future with this team.

I dislike when an opinion can be expressed in a reasonable manner, but the person expressing it decides to express it in an unreasonable, exagerrated manner for some reason.

This is a good gamble if you ask me. You give up basically nothing for a free Carlos Lee. Yeah, he's nothing special these days, but he's certainly better than Gaby Sanchez at this point. So if Lee produces like a league average first baseman the rest of the year, it's a win. If not, well you didn't give up anything of real value.
