He's only our closer for the next 402 games.

I know it's July 3rd but this game was reminiscient of that July 4th Colorado game.

Is this going to be one of those post game threads where we trim stats to make it look like our closer is good?

No one is celebrating this loss. This fucking blows.

Nearly four years after the 18-17 debacle against the Rockies where Kevin Gregg blew the game in nearly as heartbreaking fashion.

                  Maybe longer.

2015 option guaranteed at $9M with 55 games finished in 2014 or 100 GF in 2013-14
That seems fairly easy to reach.

No, he's not pitching well now. There's nothing to defend.

The 2nd blown game makes it less of an abberation.

It's gonna be one of those post game threads where people play the result. As usual.

I'm way more pissed at the FO than Bell. From 04 to last year, Marlins closers saved 85% of their chances while making peanuts. Since Bell took over for Hoffman, he' saved 87% of his chances.

Why the fuck did the FO think that two percent was worth potentially 36m?

Because fans bitched about each one of those closers.

That's not why they did it, though.
