  • Postgame: John Buck Does A Thing, Heath Bell Tones His Thing Down, Marlins Win 5-3

Would you rather have Heath Bell or Robb Nen closing? I mean, right now.
    --------------------
I'd take the 40-something Nen with the partially severed arm and the 9 years of layoff, I think

Buck has 8 hits in his last 8 games. He had 9 in May.

This thread might have more posts if Bell had done a thing.

I'm just happy a good thing happened.

Things are looking up. We've been competitive lately.

I will be @ 3 of the 4 games here in Milw. The Brewers have been just as inept at hitting as we have. Should be interesting.

              Yep.

Don't wanna be "that guy," but we're 3-1 over our last four if Bell doesn't do his thing the other night.

And Heath Bell is at 10.1ip 7ha 0er 2bb 16k and a .190baa in 11 of his last 12 outings, but no one cares.

Well, he gave up a hit yesterday and almost made an error, so take your numbers and do a thing with them.

I care. But I'm not a big fan of a 10 inning sample size line that excludes an outing.

                    Maybe I'm alone in this.

Of course not, but he's a closer on a team that doesn't win so he doesn't pitch much.
                      --------------------
My point was he's been dominant for a month plus with one bad outing and there's a post asking if we'd rather have a guy with no shoulder as our closer up there.
