It was hit too hard to be a majestic blast. It was a LASER beam, boys.

Absolutely awesome to see our home crowd standing and cheering before the pitch and then going fucking bonkers after the ball went out

Also, I went back to listen to the calls of all the different broadcasts like I always do when we do something awesome. The radio guys for the Rockies were bitching up a storm about the 2-2 pitch to Stanton that was called a ball, and I think I saw someone in the game thread say it was a strike. It was not. If you go back and watch, Fox Trax had two pitches labeled as pitch #5. The one in the zone was the first pitch, a 2-2 curveball fouled off by Stanton. The second was the pitch people were bitching about because they thought it was clearly in the zone, but they were looking at the other pitch, as that pitch was down and in.

Stanton must be so scary to pitchers in a 3-2 count with bases loaded. That's Barry Bonds scary folks. I'm not calling him Barry Bonds, but you almost consider walking him because he knows a fastball is coming. He was clearly swinging for the parking lot on that one.
              STANTON

              Serious fun! GET IT IN!

That was the coolest moment so far for me at the ballpark live. Crowd was already hyped up with it being 3-2 and then he fucking blasts the shit out of it and everyone goes crazy.

How fucking awesome is Buerhle? Guy has a terrible first inning but decides not to give a single fuck and pitches to give us 7+ innings without giving up any additional runs.

That Stanton blastaroo was something else. The moment it left bat you knew he fucking raped the ball in its stupid fucking nostrils.

This team is fun nowadays. I hope they stay this way for a while.

I mean, what's better than hearing how miserable the announcers for the other team are?

Rockies TV didn't happen to tell ya that, did it?

Those were monster homers he hit at Coors last year, too.

My favorite was the one on which Kevin Millwood audibly yelled "FUCK!" as soon as Stanton made contact.

You can probably count on one hand the number of Marlins who've gotten a curtain call and a standing ovation in their next at bat for a regular season game against an opponent like the Rockies. The stadium absolutely exploded.

it was pretty amazing! i just remembered what i said to myself when we went on the west coast trip the first game against the giants. I said, this is gonna be the start for the marlins to get hot, even though we went 8-9 just before that, i said it and weve been nasty ever since. Why did i say that to myself? because i remember it was last year that the series in San Fransisco when we hit buster, that was was the start of the downfall for the marlins after the amazing april and may...do you guys remember? So it was only fitting that this year would be opposite!
