Safety checks did not cross my mind. Howard the Duck with a painted face crossed my mind.

      Do something special for 20K

20K doesn't happen all the time

      it happens one time.

      Common.

Daft, if you say it too many times, it gets ruined.

I promise not to talk about your 20K post anymore.

We'll should let it happen naturally. You're right.

My job entails doing whatever is necessary to get the job done. I've been taking down a rock-o-plane lately.

Safety inspections for our company include: yearly insurance inspection, yearly state inspection, specific pieces receive additional yearly/every few years inspections, state/county/town inspector after the ride is set up, before that the ride is checked by someone who didn't set up the ride and the person who was in charge of the ride and the ride is inspected daily by the operator. A good operator should be constantly checking everything on the ride and is able to identify something being wrong based on sound and sight. The majority of the accidents that occur at fairs are rider error or operator error. Back to the point, I believe that inspection laws vary by state but I believe that an outside inspector is required to inspect after a ride is set up in all the states. I can't see it not being that way; it's required in CT and NY. Before they are towed our rides are inspected by at least the person in charge of taking apart the ride and the driver towing it.

How often do you travel? Where do you stay? Do carnies have their own language? This is very interesting.

I stay in a house. There were talks before of some of us camping out at the location but that is purely because some of us love being outside and some of our stops are really nice areas. We change locations every week.

                            Do you speak carnies?

What are some of the shenanigans that go on amongst carnies? Were the Simpsons accurate?

Any know what JJax was saying on the radio today about the Marlins? Read some stuff on twitter, but don't know exactly what was said.

I have less than zero interest in knowing what a Miami Heat employee had to say about the Marlins. He's awful.
