Just saw a pair of tickets home plate 6 rows back for $29 each on Stubhub with parking pass included. I couldn't even get rid of my tix today no matter how much I lowered em. I guess the only way to look at this is we are in luck if we make the playoffs and need tickets.

There weren't. My brother is down and wants to go to a game. We were reloading stubhub every few minutes. Those tickets did not exist for the Saturday game. Not only were there no $29 6 rows behind homeplate, but there were no seats anywhere in the homeplate box sections for less than $40 (last row). Edit: Don't know if they were last row, but they were at the top of the section and were probably not less than $54 at the very cheapest.Last edited by Beef; 05-12-2012, 11:52 AM.

I think the perfectly reasonable explanation as to why there isn't a strong resale market here is that most of the Marlins fans who were planning on going to a dozen games or so now have some manner of season-ticket, making them less likely to look for resale. Ultimately, it's not a "problem" for the team. The bigger problem is, coming off an 8-1 road swing and playing against a NY team, we can't get close to a sellout.

they got 31k last night, 34k today and another 30k tomorrow
the Marlins are beyond pleased right now

a shame those $29 tickets aren't available tomorrow
(edit: I highlights all the sections behind homeplate, gold and blue)

Beyond pleased is a bit of hyperbole, no?
I don't think you can be beyond pleased if it's 80% capacity of the smallest park in the NL.

I was disappointed last night. Visibly empty sections (and when I say empty, I mean empty, the last three in the second level down the left field line had like 12 people in them combined).
Friday night, Mets in town, coming off a feel-good winning trip, Santana going against us, that's gotta do better than 80% capacity.
