This is also a bit odd considering that Marlins Ballpark currently ranks as the 2nd best hitters park according to park factors (despite being 23rd for home runs).

The real head scratcher is having a park like this and then having such a horrid outfield defense.

Maybe we'll start drafting/signing really athletic OF guys going forward
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Also, as Mainge pointed out to me, this seems to be totally made up. Hanley, Uggla, and Cabrera have all participated in the Home Run Derby during the Beinbergstein regime.

              We do?

Interestingly enough, Hanley has been absolute doodoo since his missile fest at his Derby.

                  actually that's not true

Are you suggesting Derbyitis took half a season to manifest itself? Because those splits are almost identical.

edit: I see you changed your mind and said it wasn't true

17 home runs in 10 games with the roof and panels both closed. 1.7 per game. Sun Life allowed 1.67 HR per game last season.

1.4 per game overall at home vs. 1.65 on the road.

For what it's worth, the Marlins have a total of 32 HRs - 13 in Marlins Park, 19 away.
