      Heath Bell's 47-pitch blown save was most in a 9th-inning BS in 10 yrs - since a 47-pitch Danys Baez debacle on 9/8/02 http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...00209080.shtml

Heck, with the way things are going, you could hit Zambrano higher than 9th.

that's a little crazy at this point, but I'm down to revisit this in another few games

disagree about the money, he ain't being demoted because of his $$$ but because it's still early

he blows a few more saves, he'll be demoted to 7th or 8th inning guy until he gets his shit together

it's not like they'll cut him

Not like he's being demoted to AAA. He doesn't deserve the 9th inning right now. You aren't served the 9th based on how much money you are making. Nor is what I'm suggesting a permanent move but he needs to prove to be able to throw pitches over the plate right now, not even if he can get people out.

Well, Boner was driving the ball a little bit today and he saw 25 pitches in 4 AB. I think he'll be fine.

                        I'd try something like:

                        CF Bonifacio
                        2B Infante
                        LF Morrison
                        RF Dobbs
                        1B Sanchez
                        3B Ramirez
                        C Buck
                        SS Reyes
                        P Zambrano

Not forever, just tomorrow. Stanton, on the other hand, needs to be relegated to a PH role for the next couple of days or something. Between the horrible pseudo-error and terrible ABs, I'm not sure anyone other than Bell had a worse day
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Fantastic. Blowing $27m on shit Brian Sanchez and Doug Wachter can do.

I wonder how much Stanton's knee (I think) is bother him. Perhaps a trip to the DL will be worth it.

I agree, he can't even throw strikes.
