Yeah. They stopped making noise 4 minutes and 40 seconds too early

The thing I'm talking about was them showing the whole park as they try to allow a family to talk to a relative in the army on a live feed from overseas.

        It's definitely better than "meh."

I think everyone was pumped that Ali was there and then they saw just how bad he is these days and it became silence.

Made zero sense to have him there to begin with.

What's the likelihood that Loria had himself called out with Ali just so he (Loria) wouldn't get booed?

and there's the time lapse problem and they end up awkwardly talking over each other?

Because no one likes him? I mean, I like him and I still don't even like him.

Also on Todd's point about Lohse... he was pretty good last year, just stop it

Does Loria usually get booed? Did he get booed at the last game at Joe Robbie?

Also, the Cardinals led the NL in the triple slash categories last year and runs. As wonderful as Albert Pujols is, I don't think trading him for Carlos Beltran takes you from "Best in the league without question" to "Meh."
I was thinking more like replacing Pujols with Beltran, the revolving door at 2B, not really knowing what Jay brings to the table at the plate, Freese cooling off, and Berkman and Molina coming back down to earth after stupendous 2011 seasons.

Ali thing was horribly awkward. How no one stepped up and said this may be a bad idea is beyond me. The military thing was awful. The "concert" was pretty bad. The screen program was terrible. And team played like crap.

That said. Still a success. Its an incredible stadium and Im looking forward to many more games there.

Not really what I was saying. Furcal has fallen off a cliff the past few years, either Schumaker or Descalsco are pretty bland at 2B, its unrealistic to think Berkman or Molina repeat their amazing 2011s, Jon Jay is a huge question mark, and its hard to imagine that Freese continues to hit as he has over his last 40 or so games, postseason included.

Their lineup is full of question marks.
