Tip: Park on the street at the courthouse. It borders the courthouse parking lot used on game-days. It costs $5 for 3 hours compared to $10 a few feet away. You can add more money to the meter via cellphone if need be.

For anyone who's coming to the ballpark from NW Dade or SW Broward County:
On the Palmetto, exit on Okeechobee Road South, take it all the way south until it becomes North River Drive. Stay on North River Drive until it becomes 20th Street which dumps you on 17th Avenue.
On Sundays it will cut 4 miles off your trip and 10-15 minutes depending on how good you are with lights. There are maybe 8-9 lights but traffic is nonexistent on Sunday mornings so traffic on Okeechobee has priority.
A warning: After Okeechobee becomes North River Drive, you're in one of those warehouse areas you see on Miami Vice for 5 minutes. It definitely isn't the scenic route but it beats going all the way south to the 836-826 interchange.

As evidenced by the earlier pages in this thread, I was very much in favor of using public transit to get to the ballpark. My wife and I stopped doing that after our 4th or 5th game as the rates jn the nearby houses dropped. We park 2 blocks away for $5. And the drive is 10 min. from Brickell. Sure beats the nearly 45 min to 1 hr it used to take via transit.

If this is the bank on 2nd and 12th Avenue, go right down the street and park on the corner 2nd and 13th for $5. The elderly couple there is great and knows what they're doing. They have a plywood ramp that is used for cars to get over the curb. Five minute walk from the ballpark/five minutes from Flager and a 10 minute drive from Versailles with no traffic!
