I don't think he was ever truly considered a Gold Glove defender at 2B prior to this year. If he was, he would have had a spot there full time in his career at some point prior to turning 29.

I think he's a solid, but unspectacular player in all facets of his game. I wouldn't say he's a Gold Glove level defender at 2B, if only because he doesn't have the pure athleticism of some other guys. He makes all of the plays, is smooth, and doesn't make mistakes, but he doesn't have the range some other guys do.

There is not a chance in hell they'd make a big contract offer to Jose Reyes without telling Hanley he'd be moving to 3B and getting his input on it.

Apparently a show on Sirius radio is reporting that Jose Reyes will sign with the Marlins.
