I'd expect them to trade Lomo for a cheap starter if they signed a position player. Especially if they also sign the Cuban kid and expect him to play right away.

    SS Reyes
    LF Boni
    3B Hanley
    RF Stanton
    1B Gaby
    CF Cespedes
    2B Infante
    C Buck

Cespeds could go the Chapman rout and start Triple-A in New Olreans. It would really depend on his spring.

Also, how is Boni in left?

Signing Reyes, Cepedes, and any legit SP (Buerhle, Edwin) would be tremendous.

Would become lights out if Morrison/Dominguez then turned into Gio. Oakland would have to do that trade.

But I don't understand the payroll of this. Team is at +/- $65 right now. Reyes/Cepedes would easily cost $25 combined. This is $90 already. Adding a needed FA starter (their "top" offseason priority) and a few bench guys, and it's well over $100. I guess they could move Nolasco, but you'd still have to replace him.

This math doesn't add up unless they open the bank. But we can hope.

If we got Gio I think I'd be OK with dealing Lomo.

Same here, I know Gio wants out of Oak. and said he would take a paycut to play for us. I got this information from my bestfriend who is very close to him.

                        I don't see how.

It was reported that Cepedes would cost around Chapman's, which was 5/30. So $6 million.

So unless you think Reyes is getting a Crawford contract...

Forgot to mention in my scenario, we're trading Nolasco for pennies.

How is Cespedes + Reyes at 25+? Cespedes seems to be seeking 5/30, so even if he gets that whole number it's an average of 6 per year. You really think Reyes is getting 19?
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Hometown discount is what I mean, if he were given the opportunity to sign a multi-year deal with us.

Yankees are reportedly really interested in him. That could drive up his price.

Or his people could be putting that out there, now that I think about it, to drive up the price.
