        I would've said CJ, but I think Pudge's one season here played a bigger role in our team history than all our other catcher's seasons combined.

              I'm with the crowd thus far. In a Marlin uniform, CJ was better

                CJ never had as good a season as Pudge's season here, and Pudge was the catalyst for a championship. I'll take the brief lofty high over the decent tenure.

                    I get that line of reasoning

                    For me, it's the fact that CJ was our organic guy, we drafted him, he was really the franchise player in the team's infancy, whereas Pudge was the hired gun

                        Played in more games, was a better hitter, and while BR has CJ as almost 2 wins better defensively, I think that's overstating it quite a bit.
