      Seriously?

I guess there's a lot more rooms sold there than here though.

It was the exact same 16.75 in Nashville too.

The hotel taxes (6%) and the tourist development/domestic violence tax (3% on certain restaurants, bars, etc.) generated $14.8 million last year. The kicker is the tax isn't collected in Miami Beach, Surfside or Bal Harbour (coastal areas).

Which is the smart way to do it.

My manager bitches at me occasionally because I quote the total price and not the rate before tax.

Some places do that here. I remember back in the day, Lil Caesars used to charge $5 flat (tax included) for Hot and Ready
