I think a couple are Albert, Aramis, Big Z, Buehrle and Pudge. Can't figure out who the other 2 might be.
Interestingly, all guys that have been discussed on this site. What a coincidence

I'm going to go against you and say they will get him.
Buehrle is from St. Charles, MO. He has spent his entire life in the area and still lives in the St. Louis area. If he leaves the White Sox he will go to the Cardinals. Those are the only 2 teams that have a shot at Buehrle. He stays put or moves home.

I know about his interest in St.Louis, but I don't see them signing him. Remember they are also getting Wainwright back next yr. Carpenter, Wainwright, Garcia, Lohse, Jackson is what they have now. Jackson becomes a FA this year, I don't know if they're willing to spend $12-15 mil/yr on Buehrle.

                    • Every player in baseball always signs with the team closest to his home.

Players also routinely spontaneously uproot their families from where they have lived for essentially their entire lives at the age of 33 when they have went out of their way to take club friendly contracts to stay put.

How would it be spontaneous? Maybe if he were traded. This is probably his last opportunity for a big contract. Why not go where the $$$ is. If he were going to give a hometown discount he'd have signed already.

To say 0% is a little much. It may not be high, but I don't think you can say anything is 0% chance of happening this offseason.

They will when it's Miami where they can live the life of a pro athlete without the attention of being a pro athlete.......

.....oh and 80 degree days in January.
