  • I cannot believe some of the stuff Swift has come up with here.

John Buck is somewhat overpaid, yes, but he calls good games and offers several years of stability at a position we haven't had that at since, what, 90s Charles Johnson? And really he's not terribly expensive, when you consider he's a 2 WAR player and a win goes for 4-6 million on the open market. If we had a young catcher in the wings like Skipworth was supposed to be, then maybe you consider dealing him for some type of project, but we don't and there are no attractive FA options out there OR trade options.

    • The question is, what can we do with Gary Sanchez?

        You're better than that...
I noticed this as well but was too lazy to expose him.

Produce average comedies starring Will Ferrell and his friends.

        • Ok, time to ease up on Ol Swifty. We all have bad days. Yes, even you Beef/Boba.

I usually have one bad (posting) day a week.

The bad day he had yesterday was the equivalent of seven.

Erick, I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but your first month here consisted of 30 bad days in a row.

We're pretty sure you're improving though so keep up the good work.

                • I never came up with trade proposals that bad.

I just had problems with Beef and called him gay. There's a difference.

                      • Hide yo pitchers, hide yo hitters cause they trading everybody in hea.

I'm down with trading Gaby, Cogz, Nolasco.

I'm also down with having Petey playing CF.

                        • I definitely think that the club would be better off trading Gaby and moving Logan to 1B.

If we could get a LF-equiv of Gaby in production (2.5-3 WAR) and service time (minimum), I think it improves Logan's value pretty well since he should be at worst an average defense 1b (And suppose to be a plus) and he's just flat out terrible in LF (Or put Petersen/Coghlan there and try and nab a CF but that'd be harder).

If Gaby or Logan is traded I want me some Hammer. Actually forget that I want Hammer even if they aren't traded.
I'm also down with Doming at 3rd if he can OPS > .700 for the year

I would love if that happened, but I have no idea if the organization will "deal" with Morrison though. Assuming they do, that would be great. Move Bonifacio to CF, sign Aramis for 2-3, move Dominguez/Gaby as a package for pitching, and get two good bench guys who can help in the outfield. I have no problem with Coghlan (who did have an .801 OPS vs RHP this season), BP, and some veteran who presumably hits lefties handling LF (Cody makes a ton of sense if they kiss and make up and he's cool being a 60-70 start guy. Juan Rivera is alright too). Worst case scenario, you have to look for a LF at the deadline? Deal.

Offense would look great and they could easily devote $20+ million to the staff in this scenario.

                              • I've been saying since midseason that I'd love to trade Gaby or Lomo for some SP if possible.

I think Gaby for a Niemann would work rather well for both teams involved.
