The last game of the Braves series is the 14th; 8 days from now. If you're going to wait that long to start Sanabia, who last pitched on the third, why not just let him start one of the double header games on the 15th and pitch him out of the bullpen until then?

Dobbs is starting at third tonight. Beinfest may have to make the lineup cards himself to get Dominguez in the starting lineup.

The Marlins consider Dominguez to be their third baseman of the future, but only if he can hit big-league pitching.

And he might not necessarily get a lot of playing time over the final weeks of the season.

“I’m going to play him some. We’re get a look at him,’’ manager Jack McKeon said.

“Some of these guys who have been here like (Greg) Dobbs and those guys, have done yeomen’s work all season long. You just can’t slight then. We’ll mix and match. We’ll try to get a look at all the young guys. But we’ll be selective.’’

I just quoted exactly what Jack said. That's not a writer making a speculation. "I'm going to play him some" and "we'll be selective" is not the same thing as "we're going to get Dominguez as many starts and AB's as possible to get a good look at him".
