Because Petersen beats it out if he goes to 2nd first. Turner has the right idea because you get the force at 1st and then get Buck in a run down. One run would score in that situation but you get out of it with just the game tied.

Petersen absolutely beats it out. It also worked in our favor that Buck is slow as hell. A little quicker and Turner may have been in a better area to tag him.
