I don't understand what that's supposed to mean.

He means you need to not let your infatuation with Cishek prevent you from seeing that he did not pitch well in this game. Dont find a way to make this about Leo instead of Steve.

/i meant that actually. bob speaks for himself.

I never said that Cishek pitched well.

            Cishek was actually terrible.

Hence the reason why I began my sentence using the word "that."

The original question asked how the game got so close.
I don't see why it's wrong to bring Leo into this considering that if he gets Morse out, the game ends 7-3 (and it's not close).

He allowed two inherited runners to score and then got a loud out. That's a good appearance for a reliever?

Also, since when do I dislike Jose Ceda?

He allowed a single and got an out. If Cishek didn't suck in that game, it's nothing.

But Leo was a minor part of the reason why the game got as close as it got. The guy posting asked "what the hell happened in the 9th inning? 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th? wtf?"

Leo played a part in allowing 2 of those runs.

One of the most important stats in evaluating relievers is how they do with inherited runners. I don't see why Leo's performance should be completely ignored like it was good when it wasn't.

I also don't see why it looks like I'm protecting Cishek when I respond to MH's post saying "that" (inferring that Cishek was indeed terrible last night). I'm not sugarcoating anything.

And I still don't understand the analogy to Ceda. Have I hated on him or something?

Well, yeah, but then you did the "THE CLOSER WE ABSOLUTE CANNOT TRADE" thing which was stupid because he gets like 2% of the blame.

                    Oh.

I'm just disappointed that the rumors on him have basically disappeared.
