Marlins Tie Franchise Record With 11th Loss In A Row In Another 1 Run Defeat
Multiple teams being interested does not = good trade value. It just meant teams were looking to buy low.
I didnt poorly evaluate shit you pissant.
You're saying this as if the Marlins had to trade Maybin.
The organization didn't even have any CF depth whatsoever at the time the deal was made. Maybin was the same guy who they wanted to evaluate two months prior when they let Cody Ross go for nothing.
You're acting like a huge homer if you look at what each player has done this year and you think the Marlins have, for some reason, won this deal. The Marlins have not come out winners in this deal. Why is it so difficult to admit to this, at the very least?
You people are acting like I'm just hating on this front office.
I am just saying that from the owner's perspective, he's probably disappointed with how the deal has worked out.
-Maybin has been better than Coghlan
-Webb has had an inconsistent year/mediocre year overall.
Call me an idiot or a "pissant" all you want. If the people calling me an idiot are the same people who are saying things like "Webb alone is more valuable than Maybin," I will gladly accept being called an idiot on this board. Look in the mirror or something.
Last night was one of the most exciting games I have seen from us during our June skid. I think we take the next two from the Angels, and from here on out we will get back on a roll.

I'll have some of whatever he's having.

Maybin was also out of options meaning when he sucked in April you can't send him to the minors again and you would get 0 relief pitchers for him.
Cousins, Petersen and CC all can play CF. CC was the only one who was questionable defensively. All of them were at AAA level already. It may not have been good depth but its depth and it would result in similar production to Maybin.
As for relievers being easily replaceable. Have you seen the bullpen this team has had in the past decade?
