Just partially. He's done a great job handling the staff and catching. We'll see what happens offensively on his second turn through the league.

Free Agency this off season. If Loria is true to his word, that should be fun for us.
Free agents suck this offseason for the most part. We're blowing money for no reason if we sign someone like Heath Bell for 4 years. I'm terrified they do something stupid actually.

Hanley's back Friday and JJ's back sometime this month.

I'm going to guess everyone is joking about the season being over.

Same here. Loria loves Heath Bell.

He has a .228 BABIP while lowering his K rate and increasing his BB rate. I think he'll be fine offensively, and I've been more than pleased with his defense thus far.

I like Buck the way he handles the staff and what not. His plate discipline is turrible. He needs to stop swinging at every 1st pitch. I would of liked to see if we could of brought Pudge here instead of Buckaroo.

PHOENIX -- Marlins right-hander Josh Johnson told MLB.com on Tuesday that he still has a touch of inflammation in his right shoulder, and he doesn't want to put any timeline on his return from the 15-day disabled list.

Johnson threw long toss at Chase Field before the game on Tuesday as he progresses toward throwing off a mound, but that won't happen here where the Marlins close a three-game set against the D-backs on Thursday. It might not even happen this weekend when the Marlins return home to open a four-game set against the Brewers.

"It feels pretty good, but it's not quite 100 percent," Johnson said. "That's the next step we've been waiting on, waiting to get that full extension. That's why we're not moving ahead to go to the mound. I'll just continue to throw and hopefully it will continue to improve."

As far as any projection for his return, Johnson added: "I'm not going to put any date on it."

Johnson was placed on the DL on May 21, retroactive to May 17. Wednesday is the first day he's eligible to come off, but that, of course, is not going to happen. Johnson, one of the top pitchers in the National League, was 3-1 with a 1.64 ERA and 56 strikeouts in nine starts when he went down.

His loss has caused a ripple effect on the Marlins pitching staff, which allowed 23 runs and 36 hits to the Dodgers and D-backs in losing the past two games. Still, no one can rush the recovery process and Johnson is not going to move forward until he's ready to pitch.

"I'm just waiting to see when I can let it go," he said. "Until then I'm going to still stay on flat ground."

Thus, a projected return to a Major League start by June 5 or 7 seems unlikely, added manager Edwin Rodriguez.

"They keep saying that, but I see it as a long shot," he said. "How long will it take? Nobody knows. I don't even think that J.J. knows. I would be just speculating here."

Buck is much better than Pudge.

Brett Hayes might be better than Pudge now.

Buck has more power and is younger.. Pudge is cheaper, still plays great d.. Hitting for shit but I attribute that to less playing time due to Ramos.. Maybe I still think of him as the Pudge of old when he was here.

Pudge has been the same hitter for 5 years.

Did we kill Buck for swinging at everything and then advocate signing Pudge?

                            Pudge is not good anymore

Really, Brad Hand? I mean he's pretty good, but don't rush the kid.

Just give Koehler or Vilanueva the start.
