Yeah, I wouldn't use Petersen there, but I still hate Helms.

Edwin's already having a closed-door meeting. Consecutive losses = unacceptable!

      Go Edwin!!!...

Edwin is going to tell the Latin players you can't leave a runner on third in English and he's going to tell the gringo players the same in Spanish. Then he's going to slam the clubhouse door and plot his revenge.

Have to assume when LoMo comes back that one of Cousins/Petersen goes.

We need a right-handed bench outfielder.

Has Cousins gotten a hit since that grand slam?

Boner will probably be the full-time 3B.

We have literally no real options in the organization.
Maybe Jorge Padilla at AA Jacksonville.
Batting .253 with an OBP of .337 and an OPS of .728
Can run a little bit and has a little pop. Also has had a cup of coffee with Washington in 09...would have to clear a 40 spot but I feel like it would be nice to have a RHOF.

Well that was an incredibly frustrating game to be at.

Cousins is 0-15 since that game he hit the GS in with 7 strike outs.

The Marlins’ clubhouse was as quiet as it has been all year after tonight’s 3-2 loss to Washington in 10 innings.

Manager Edwin Rodriguez’s office was closed to reporters because of a meeting with owner Jeffrey Loria and other front-office staff. The best indication we have is that there could be a roster move some time Saturday involving reliever Clay Hensley.

Hensley, Florida’s set-up man, faced two batters in the eighth inning, walking Jayson Werth on four pitches and then striking out Laynce Nix.

Hensley got dressed in his street clothes and stuck around long enough to chat with Loria after the meeting in Rodriguez’s office ended.

“It’s a long season,’’ Loria said at one point to Hensley, who later politely declined to talk to two reporters.

Hensley slipped and fell down a flight of steps last Friday morning at the team hotel in Cincinnati. He said he was diagnosed with a bruised left shoulder blade.

He didn’t pitch last Friday but pitched Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with Tuesday being the only appearance in which he allowed a run.

Hensley is out of options. The best guess is he’s headed for the disabled list, a move that would be announced Saturday.
