JJ didnt have his best stuff today.

If you would have told me going into a 4 game series that the Fish would win the 2 games started by Volstad and Vasquez and lose those started by JJ and Anibal I would have called you crazy.

Yeah, 7.1 innings having allowed a couple of runs. There was no one on base in the inning. He was clearly struggling, at that point
              Did you watch the game?

4-3 on the road trip vs. the toughest teams in the central? Everytime.

Positive trip. Now have to go on a nice little run at home.

                        I'll repeat myself:

"He hit 97 the inning prior, right? he threw some really nice pitches, right? He wanted to go back out, right?

It's 50-50. Anyone trying to make it look like a slam dunk either way is trying too hard."

If you can't see the logic in taking him out at the start of the inning, you're a fool. If you can't see the logic in leaving him in, you're a fool. There, it's settled.

Either way, Natinals coming up at home. Let's sweep 'em.

                          Don't think he did.

                          Against JJ:
                          Rasmus 2-3 BB
                          Pujols 3-3 BB
                          Holliday 2-4

So excuse some people to maybe considering it might have been a good opportunity to bring some guys in from the pen.

I still would have been against pulling JJ after 7. Not saying it was right or wrong though. It didn't work out.

I get the 50-50 thing, but come on, you know velocity is a silly thing to look at when debating the merits of a pitcher's fitness to continue.
