May 11, 1996: Al Leiter throws the first no-hitter in Marlins history in an 11-0 win over the Rockies.
Oct. 12, 1997: Thanks in part to umpire Eric Gregg's liberal strike zone, Livan Hernandez strikes out 15 in a complete-game victory to out duel Greg Maddux and top the Braves in Game 5 of the NLCS.
May 7, 2000: A Mike Piazza sixth-inning double was the lone hit Ryan Dempster allowed in a shutout of the Mets.
June 13, 2003: Rookie Dontrelle Willis walks one and strikes out eight in a one-hit shutout of the Mets.
Oct. 12, 2003: Josh Beckett walks one and strikes out 11 in a two-hit shutout in Game 5 of the NLCS against the Cubs to stave off elimination.
Oct. 22, 2003: With the Yankees leading the series 2-1, Carl Pavano out-performs Roger Clemens in Game 4, allowing a run over eight innings. Pavano did not factor into the decision, but the Marlins evened the series on Alex Gonzalez's walk-off homer.
Aug. 29, 2004: A.J. Burnett allows a run over eight innings and sets a franchise-record with 14 strikeouts in an 8-4 win over the Rockies. Burnett matched his strikeout record on July 6, 2005 in a six-inning, no-decision of the Brewers.
Sept. 6, 2006: Anibal Sanchez throws the fourth no-hitter in club history as the Marlins top the Diamondbacks 2-0.
Aug. 2, 2008: Ricky Nolasco strikes out 13 over eight innings in a 5-3 win over the Rockies. Nolasco on Sept. 30, 2009 in Atlanta would set the franchise's single-game strikeout record (16).
