No way, you're getting 3 years of Michael Young.

Why would the Marlins keep him after this year? Move him to second after this year?

Who knows when Matt will be ready offensively.

I would think of putting him at 2B from the get go.. Let Infante play 3B.. 2B is easier than 3B and we would be stronger defensively. I don't think they would do this though.

The Rangers would not want Scott Cousins or Jose Ceda

Neither do we; therefore, they will be Chris Seddons

Young's put up a sub-.700 ops outside of his bandbox stadium 2 out of the last 3 seasons. I think we should give up everything we can to pay him an assload of money for 3 more years.

Besides the Ballpark in Arlington, the AL West features 3 of the most extreme pitchers parks in baseball.

James and Hand would be in any deal to get Young and not get the salary to go with it. Probably send Leo too. As for closer after this year, fuck it just sign Papelbon

And the NL East features 2 extreme pitchers parks (including one he'd play in 81 times) as well as the NL being the pitcher-friendly league.
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Phinshark isn't an extreme pitcher's park. It's a moderate pitchers park.

Also, the NL being pitcher friendly doesn't really have any effect on a position player. The reason it's pitcher friendly is because there's no DH, which has no impact on hitters.

Here is a list of guys who might be out of options, and yes Brandon Wood is included in there.

This is most probably what the Fish are currently looking for, out of option players that they can pick up.

Chris Davis has been playing some 3b during ST for Texas. He'll prob suck defensively and be Mike Jacobs but yea he's likely available.

I think we can move on from the Young idea. According to sources Texas wants a "massive return" for Young given the fact they are eating a big portion of his salary.
