Well, it really depends on how often he hit 88, though. The article said that he "topped out at 88". Not "averaged 88 " or was "consistently at 88".
Yes, it's still early but this is something that bares watching. You can't really take anything out of this start other than he threw strikes and didn't get hurt. The stats are really irrelevant since he faced a team of college guys. I'd expect anyone with any significant major league service time to be able to handle guys that haven't even been drafted yet.

Garate & Cishek pitched great, a lot of strikes.
Petersen also did good. I am rooting for him over Wise.
Ozzie Martinez is another guy that I am rooting for, but I don't think he can win the job over Boni. Boni is too versatile, and his speed speaks for itself.
