  • One prominent player, though, refused to comment. Hanley Ramirez, who not only is failing at the plate - he is now hitting .201 after going 0-for-3 Sunday - but has failed in his attempt to become a leader.

At least one player outwardly expressed his disdain for Ramirez ducking reporters on Sunday.
Jack McKeon a candidtate to keep manager’s seat warm for the Marlins next hire

Can't say as I'm surprised by that.

Will Dan Uggla shut up already?

      • Odds that one player is Helms?
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

          • I am absolutely amazed by the growing movement to trade Hanley.

Really firms up Miami as an awful and uneducated sports town.

            • Yea I was just about to post this:

I'll say it -- time (and probably overdue) for #marlins to trade Hanley Ramirez... kept thinking he'd turn corner by now.
              I don't agree.

The way he acts is what I think pushes people over the edge and ask for him to be traded.

                • Isn't that how we justified trading Miggy? That's only set us back a decade.

                  • And now trading him when his value is at his lowest is a very dumb idea in itself.

                    • It's also silly to get this angry when offense as a whole is down and "franchise" players are mostly having down years, especially by their standards. My concern with Hanley is the disappearance of his power, that's it.

Here's Longoria's line, in roughly the same amount of time as Hanley: .237/.339/.417

                      • I guess Hanley taking ball four for strike three was the tipping point for Joe Capozzi.

                        • Or Hanley saying he agreed with McKeon's decision to bench him and that he appreciates a manager challening players to play harder.
