is it possible the buck deal is backloaded? do we know if it's straight 6-6-6? knowing that we have the stadium in a year and we need the flexibility this year, is it possible it's something like 4.5-6.5-7 or something? you know way more about payroll than i do but i'm curious

never got an answer but it's official, he's only making 4.5 next year. there's a 1.5 mil signing bonus but aren't bonuses like that sometimes spread out or held back and paid later? does that change anything?

Well, depending on Boner's defense at 2nd there may not be a huge difference in the team's overall production because Matty D may not be much better overall right now when you include baserunning into the equation.
