Maybe "give up" is a bit harsh, but I don't think chances are great both are with us come spring.

How Will the 2010 Marlins Season Be Remembered?

I'll remember:
Edwin being a great rookie manager after being called up from New Orleans.
Wes Helms being quoted way to much.
Cody Ross being traded.
CC failed pie.
The rookie trio that should be mainstays for the team for a few years or bring in significant pieces.
On Volstad:
maybe it's all in his head and he can't handle pressure of meaningful games?

It's axiomatic in the crusty old baseball circles to say "you don't evaluate a player based on September."
Now, obviously that refers to September callups and saying it's impossible to get a read on a guy based on a month in the bigs, but I think that can be applied here. He didn't show up until the stuff didn't matter any more. Bring him back, let him compete for a spot, don't guarantee anything.

Mike Stanton.
Fredi getting fired.
Coughlan and pie.
David Sampson being a doofus and saying the year would end in a pile.
Tommy Hutton being a doofus and thinking John Adams was the first president to throw out a first pitch.
At least that is what I will remember.Need help? Questions? Concerns? Want to chat? PM Hugg!

Volstad had three good September starts, a K/9 under 3! in those three starts, and finished September with a 4.46 ERA
Why is it even being talked about? Any pitcher can have 3 good starts in a row. Shit, Wes Obumeullerrrr did it. I don't see how this is an issue of argument if it should or shouldn't be remembered. THREE STARTS
