New Stadium to Be Featured on HBO Real Sports

Just spoke with the PR folks at HBO about why Bryant Gumbel was in Miami recently to interview Marlins president David Samson.

Apparently, the Marlins’ new ballpark will be the topic of an HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel segment that will air Oct. 26.

Spokesman Ray Stallone was not able to provide details about the segment or whether it will explore other Marlins issues, such as the recent controversy over the team’s finances.

The new ballpark will open in 2012.
