5.0 back of the Wild Card
          7.0 back of the Division

          9-9 since the ASB
          9-6 since the Phillies' debacle
1-4 in the Nick Johnson Era
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

looking back at the cubs series, you can see this losingstreak coming. If it wasnt for Gregg and Marmol insisting that we would win, then we should of lose all three games. In the cubs and the nats series, we choke up with RISP, played horrible defense, and the majority of the SP underperformed. The only differences from the two series was that the nats' bullpen didnt try to give us the game. The way the marlins are playing, they willnt get into the postseason. there are too many question marks

Lucky, there enough games left to turn it around, and theyre playing the teams they need to pass in the division and the wildcard

Great bullpen management today. I love how Calero, Meyer, and Nunez were all available, yet not one of them pitched.

Agreed. I did not like Fredi going to the guy who hasn't pitched in days and has not pitched since being recalled in the 5th inning. He should have brought in any of our other relievers and then, if he wanted to get Wood in the game, throw him in the start of the next inning without the two runners in scoring position.

Then we'd pitch em against the Phillies and everyone would be like we were playing the fucking nats and we didnt keep our best guys fresh for the huge philly series?

                        No.

In a game like this, you pull out all the stops. You worry about tomorrow when it comes.

Plus, Calero and Meyer hadn't pitched in two days and Nunez hasn't pitched since AUGUST 1ST. Even if they did all throw today, they would be fine for the Philly series.

Seriously/. You could see a 3 game sweep by the Nationals coming?

no like everyone else i thought we would win 2 out of 3. But i certainly see why the marlins lose, and the majority of the things we did wrong in the nats series, were carried over from the cubs series. And eventually high # of LOB, poor defense, SP going 5 inning or less catchs up to you
