Marlins Purchase the Contract of Cishek, Transfer Marinez

The Florida Marlins have purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Steve Cishek from Double-A Jacksonville and transfer right-handed pitcher Jhan Marinez from the 15 to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster. The 24-year-old Cishek was 0-6 with a 2.83 ERA in 26 games out of the Hammerheads bullpen before being promoted to Double-A Jacksonville. Once with the Suns he posted a 4.31 ERA in 22 games for the Southern League Champions.
