    Yeah, he's def safe if he slides. The last he looked toward 2nd was just after rounding third, I'd guess the guy isn't much of a thinker so since he figured there would be a play at the plate and (if Hanley doesnt take so ephin long to throw home) it isn't even very close, he was ready to have to knock the ball loose and probably didn't think that the catcher was completely standing up and that if he changes his approach and slides, they take the lead. It wasn't THAT dumb because he really didnt have much time and it wasn't dirty.

      I think it was pretty dumb. He doesn't have to look toward second to decide what to do. His sights should be set on the plate, and his decision should be based on the catcher's positioning.

        He is probably not a smart guy and had his mind made up early, he's probably not very good at thinking on his feet. Ya know, on his feet? Because he didnt slide
