          • 2nd round pick in 09 that could've easily gone in the first. He gets an insane amount of ground balls and a decent amount of K's. He's 21, in High A right now.

            • That does not sound like someone that Cantu can get us.

              • I really wanted Zach Britton from the O's for Uggla but that never happened. Now Robbie Ross is a shorter version of Britton with a cooler name.

                • If they're saying we get a B to B+ pitching spec, that's what Ross is.

                  • Ya I highly doubt it is him especially with all the decent prospects Texas has. This isnt the Houston farm system with 3 good players and 150 nobodys.Ross was a 1st Rd talent that fell far cause of his height and commitment,Texas would be crazy to give him up.

If I was Beinfest I ask for him,Texas will say no then ask for Wilmer Font

                    • Font is the same as Ross. If you can give up Font, you can give up Ross.

                        Texas goes

                        Martin Perez
                        Tanner Scheppers
                        Robbie Ross
                        Kasey Kiker
                        Wilmer Font
                        Michael Main---TRADED
                        Robbie Erlin
                        Blake Beaven--TRADED

Those are the best arms with alot of mid level arms still there(They draft good and sign tons of IFA)

The reason I think they wanna keep Ross is he is closer to being ready and a lefty but Kasey Kiker is pretty much a duplicate of him so maybe??

                        • Can't we just ask for 2 players including Ross if we want him so bad? Or if he's just that damn good, get a straight up Ross for Cantu trade? I mean if this kid is going to be a star in the future you might as well do it.

                          • I would be fine with a Ross/Kiker swap for Jorge and that's it.
