  • Cody Ross Trade Idea

Sorry, I did not know where to put this, I thought there was a place to put trade idea or whatever it's called but I couldn't find it.

What about Cody Ross to the Reds for either SP Matt Klinker/Scott Carroll and one of LHP (reliever) Philippe Valiquette, 2B Jake Kahaulelio or OF Dave Sappelt?

I've seen all of them play. Most are under the radar type of guys but I like them all. Kaha and Sapp were in the Southern League All-Star game. Klink was suppose to be but he was called up to Trips. Valiquette was in the Futures game this year.

Out of all of them, Valiquette is already on the 40-man roster. Klinker, Kahaulelio and Carroll are eligible for the 40 in the off-season. Sapp's not eligible until next off-season.

It'd be funny if the Reds traded for Ross. Didn't we pick him up off waivers from them?

I guess Ross would start over Stubbs?

He has really be struggling lately. I didn't think they wanted a RH bat but I believe I read they did.

He still has over .070 points better in OPS than Cody

What's the defense comparison between the two? I'd imagine not enough to entirely overcome that, right?

When the Yankees,Red Sox,and Braves are interested in a guy those are the only teams u talk too.

When GM's dream of a trade idea it usually involves 1 of these teams because of the amount of talent that they have. Not saying we would get a Neftali Feliz/Montero or anything but with all 3 of these teams u can ask for a prospect AND a 17/18 yr old DSL kid that they bought for $300,000 who could become something really big in a few years

That's some bullshit logic right there.

Whoever is interested in Cody, that's who you talk to. Besides, many times Yankees and Red Sox (and other big markets) prospects are much overhyped.
