BALTIMORE -- A chance for a sweep and the opportunity to reach .500 both slipped away for the Marlins on Thursday night.
Miguel Tejada collected four hits and four RBIs, including a three-run homer, to lead the Orioles to an 11-5 win over the Marlins in front of 15,397 at Camden Yards.
The Marlins were unable to hold an early three-run lead. With the loss, their three-game winning streak was snapped, and their overall record fell to 35-37. Florida was in position to reach the .500 mark for the first time since it was 28-28 on June 4.

After breezing threw two innings, Nate Robertson (5-6) carried a three-run lead into the third inning. That's when everything turned. The Orioles strung together six straight hits in the inning, and scored five times, while knocking Robertson out of the game after a season-low 2 1/3 innings.
Although Kevin Millwood (2-8) was in trouble, the veteran gritted out five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits. He threw 116 pitches and won his second straight decision.
The Marlins struck quickly off Millwood, using some small ball. Chris Coghlan doubled to open the game, and he moved to third on Gaby Sanchez's sacrifice bunt. Hanley Ramirez added an RBI single, and after he stole second, he scored on Dan Uggla's single to center.
Doubles by Ronny Paulino and Sanchez in the second inning made it 3-0 for Florida.
The lead was erased in a five-run Baltimore third inning. The Orioles pieced together six straight hits off Robertson, who didn't make it out of the inning. In all, the left-hander faced eight batters in the third and gave up seven hits.
Julio Lugo, Tejada, Ty Wigginton, Luke Scott and Adam Jones each had RBI hits. After Jones doubled in a run and put runners on second and third, rookie Alex Sanabia made his big league debut. It was a successful one as he struck out Jake Fox and Craig Tatum to get out of the jam.
The Marlins pulled to within 5-4 in the fifth on Uggla's third single of the game, which produced his second RBI. But in the fifth, Jones homered off Sanabia, giving Baltimore a two-run advantage.
In the sixth inning, James Houser made his Major League debut, inheriting a runner on first. The first pitch he threw, Scott delivered a run-scoring double to center, putting the Orioles up by three.
