I'd be for moving Uggla to 3b.

I'd be for moving him to the cleanup spot

No Link or anything but some rumblings that if the Nats do not trade Dunn that the Chicago White Sox might look at Dan Uggla and they are having internal talks about Nolasco as a replacement for Peavy.

Could we see a Uggla/Nolasco to Chicago Blockbuster?

Nolasco shouldn't be traded this season.

I agree, Nolasco probably can't get THAT much worse and his value is super low right now

Nolasco's actually on a tear right now. Since he gave up 4 runs in the second inning to the Orioles a few starts ago, here are his numbers:

              19ip 13h 5r(5er) 2bb 26k

              0.79whip, 2.37era 4xbh(3hr)

Nolasco is a strange case. Rarely a pitcher so hot and cold for sustained periods of time like he is.

I do not like any of Chicago's prospects.

                    • Tyler Flowers would be the best. But no way chicago trades him with Pierzynski OPS under .700/FA at the end of the year.

                      • Tyler Flowers is like the AAA version of Kyle Skipworth (which is an upgrade over Hayes)

Dan Hudson is for me but not if we have to deal Nolasco

                        • Flowers is a flower thats already blossomed and is bored in AAA. He shoulda been in the bigs.

                          • I'd be pretty interested in Beckham, Hudson, and Flowers. Beckham is an awesome buy low with those two prospects.

It's true and his upside is undeniable, but he gets shelled way to much. Is this a guy you build around, or just have until you find someone more consistent? I'm not anxious to move him, but if were offered a MLB right now prospect who projects as a 2/strong 3, you pretty much have to move him. Because at the end of the day, you gave up a ton of potential, but the end result is a 4.50 era with 20 HR given up which isn't going away.

I'd rather keep Dan than Nolasco on a 4 year deal if only so much cheddar is to go around
