Right-handed pitcher Clay Hensley may have to make a trip to the disabled list because of an injured neck. Hensley, who has been the Marlins best reliever, has a 2.51 ERA out of the Marlins already disjointed bullpen. Hensley apparently has been dealing with this strained neck for about two weeks. The injury has been what's kept him out of action since last Friday.
However, Hensley, according to Joe Frisaro's report, said that his neck feels "better than it was yesterday" and "100 times better than it was two days ago."
The article also says that Hensley plans to test his neck out by throwing again in the next day or so. If a trip to the 15-day disabled list is needed, Hensley cannot return before June 28.
