Obviously, it's not a popular thing but when you've got a team that needs every little bit of help to score runs, you've gotta do the little things to make it happen.

/frustrated JJ didnt get the win.

Ridicule me if you like but I was one of the 5,000 people booing Nunez. Nunez pretty much got the brunt of total frustration from the fans over this horrendous bullpen. Sanches almost blew it in the 8th and Nunez blew it in the 9th. Walking Hamilton and then letting him get a great jump from 1st base to steal 2nd was just unexcusable.

Leaving the stadium yesterday almost everyone was either angry or in disbelief. Everyone was cursing the bullpen. Something needs to be done with this bullpen. If nothing is done to improve the bullpen we are looking at going sub .500 for the entire season. That is unacceptable with a team as talented as this one.

Leo Nunez has nothing to do with our crappy bullpen.

Didn't Hamilton get on base with a single?

Boo all you want, but every closer blows saves. Show me a 100% close rate for any closer this year. Every few years you get a fluke like Brad Lidge, but you virtually never see a guy go without blown saves. 3 on the year is pretty much par for the course. Heaping it on Nunez is dumb.

Like Festa said he got booed because of the entire situation with the bullpen not just him. I understand closers dont have a 100% close rate. He was the guy who happened to be there at the moment. With the fans extreme frustration of this bullpen mounting up, his blown save was the straw that broke the camel's back. I like Nunez but him blowing the game was just another bullpen fuck up and the crowd was justifiably pissed. In the moment it is hard to fault the fans for booing. Atleast it shows they give a shit.

Another side note to the game, Stanton had a real nice standing ovation coming into his first AB, I thought that was a classy gesture.

Did you boo Stanton after his 3rd strikeout?

Cody Ross was fucking brutal last night.

Stanton looked really silly at the plate too.

And he goes too hard after foul balls. On at least 3 occasions I thouht he was going to hit the bullpen wall at full tilt. Kid needs to learn from Hermida. It's not worth it.

I could not agree more with this statement. Cody ended the inning 4 times yesterday. Everytime I think there were runners on atleast 3 of the 4 times there were runners on base and in scoring position. I know Stanton didn't do anything yesterday but I would've loved to have seen him up with runners on base.
