I think people are undervaluing Cody's importance to this team. There aren't many guys who can play all 3 OF positions very well and give you an .800+ OPS every year in this league.

Cody has value, no question, but it's not a "get rid of him" trade, it's a "make us convincingly better" trade.

I wish we went out and threw some guarantees Matt Capps' way, or found a way to get Rhodes back or something else, but here we are, the signature of every Beinfest team: an embarrassingly weak bullpen.

You make a run at a 2004 type Mota trade with Cody. Maybe you have to bring in a 3rd team to facilitate it, but whatever.

Coghlan was originally a third baseman, but then he was moved to second then to left field.
I'm not sure how he would do at third. I would want to keep Cantu personally.
Bullpen is the main problem with this team and other than Nunez and Hensley there is just no one else there. Cantu signed a 1 year deal and will be a free agent after this season, but I also though Uggla and Ross were as well. Are they?
