God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

We would've won if there wasn't so much confusion over the game's start time.

Even though we won 2 out of 3 games this series, we still don't look like we've improved. Good starting pitching, Offense is still anemic, defense is still sub-par (an error, a missed double play, and a should-have-been passed ball) and a shaky bullpen (although they looked a little better this series). They need to snap out of this against teams better than the Cubs.

Pinch hitting Baker for Paulino in the 8th is the lulz.

for what it's worth, Paulino is 1/7 with 4k against Marmol in his career

I was listening on mlb atbat. Was the 3-1 pitch to BC possibly ball 4 if he doesn't swing at it?

I think it was a good pitch to hit

I only ask because it sounded like Marmol couldn't find the zone (he walked the previous guy pretty quickly) and I think you have to allow him to dig himself a bigger hole (you know, like Hanley did).

I mean he put a good swing on it and didn't look like he was fooled. Just unlucky that he hit it right at Soriano.

Yeah, that pitch was in his wheelhouse.

So long as his wheelhouse is right down the middle.

He had to swing at it

Ok cool. DVH made it sound like it was low and possibly a ball but DVH does that.....
