I disagree, he's been all over the place this year. Bases loaded and a wild pitch will cost you and he hits Dunn even when he gets ahead in the count.

My problem with that is that situation is not one with any room for error. Pinto can be good, but generally speaking, he can't come into a situation where a walk, hit by pitch, or passed ball will cost a run because he does those things so frequently.

Anyone know Dunn's platoon splits? They aren't extreme are they?

I looked them up. He rapes RHP so I guess you had to go with Pinto or Jones there.

One player said it would be ``completely unfair'' if Jeffrey Loria fires Fredi Gonzalez. At least Loria (who fired Jeff Torborg when the team was 16-22 in 2003) diffused speculation by telling Gonzalez on Friday that reports questioning his job security are off-base. (Loria used an unprintable word.) That player expressed doubts about whether Bobby Valentine, whom Loria likes, could even co-exist with a Marlins front office that likes its manager to accept its input.

That is a very astute player.

Who can this mystery player be? Is Wes Helms the snitch type?

Wes Helms better not bad mouth the front office. They're the only reason he still has a major league job.

It's probably a vet who's been around awhile (rules out a bunch of people) and a reasonably smart/articulate guy (rules out Uggla, among others). I'll go with Baker, just because he's awesome and seems kind of like the leader type and went on that USO-like tour with Fredi and stuff.

Fredi, I've got someone I'd like you to meet, his name is John Boles.

YOU CANNOT LET THIS STUFF GET IN THE MEDIA. "We're dealing with it behind closed doors" or something. Not "I'm not sure he gets it."

If Fredi is fired for this later down the line or at the end of the year...I hope the Sox continue to suck it up and Ozzie is fired. Bring him to town!
