His ERA is really bad (9 ER) but 7 of them came in his first two outings. Since then, he's rounded into form and hasn't allowed earned runs in consecutive games, despite going more than 1 inning every time (he usually does 2 inning appearances).

I mean, that's your 8th inning guy right there.

Make of it what you will. Edwin has pretty plainly gone with more defined roles, and timing of using the relievers.
