  • Gaby Sanchez 2010

Because apparently you still can be a decent prospect at 26.

Gaby has been a real nice surprise. This lineup would be really bad.

definitely happy he's hitting righties. Still no power though... Hopefully he finds some or juices again.

It's too bad we don't have a DH spot.

I think he's taking that 1b spot and I think Lomo should get used to that LF spot. Also doesn't it seem Morrison is involved in a collision or something at 1b every year?

I think that was always the plan, take the best of Gaby, Petersen, and Cousins, and play Morrison in the other spot.

8th in the majors in OPS among 1B with at least 100 PA right now.

                Nobody expected this so far.

The glove has been pretty bad though. Don't know if you're looking at your long term 3B or LF instead of 1B.

I am not going to watch that.

back on the fence as he's cooled off vs righties recently. OPS now at .766 vs them.

I would expect his secondary skills to pick up against LHP.

Despite him doing well, I don't see him long-term. Maybe he'll be here next year but I don't see him here beyond that.

                              OPS at a non-flukey .793 Vs RHP.

Dude's a legit major league regular, if probably a bit below average for a first baseman.

Ranks 16th among 1B in OPS right now, so just about dead even, I guess.

UZR's even improved their opinion of his defense. +4 BY uzr and +4 by +/-. +/- has him ranked 10th among 1B in defense.
