  • Cody Arbitration

    Marlins - $4.2
    Cody - $4.45

I'm actually very cool with the Marlins fighting this one.

And I think I should invoice the front office at this point.

Yeah, the Marlins offer is probably on the aggressive side to begin with, bordering on $4.5 is nutty.

I can agree with that. Hart, Francouer, and other 2010 signings certainly raised the pot. The comps I was using were from 2007-2009, and I came up with the Marlins number. Kudos for Cody's agent at pushing it a little harder and anticipating the market to fall that way.

Kinda funny how millionaires argue about 2.5 hundred k
This is a Dolphins town, though.

Kind of alarming how bad this front office is in arbitration cases.

I'd take it if I could get it.

Speaking of this, how do MLB players get paid? Do they get W-2s or something else? I'd love to put in their salary on H&R Block TaxCut.

They have lost 3 of the last 4 I believe which is Uggla, Cabrera, Gregg, and Cody. I don't think I'm missing anyone. To their credit though, they did a real nice job signing their other 9 cases this year though.

Gregg was a $700k-$575k battle when he first came over.
