That's lame.
Has Lindstrom ever faced a pitcher in relief? Actually, I know how to do this fast. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/...&type=Pitching
He's faced Wainwright, De La Rosa, and the immortal Vinnie Chulk.
Yes, that 3 pitcher split in his 171.2 inning career makes his fastball better suited for pitcher friendly NL.
Whoever came up with this idea is an idiot.

The Orioles and Rangers are close to swapping pitchers Kevin Millwood and Chris Ray. If that deal gets done as it is being reported I think it is safe to assume Lindstrom won't be becoming a Ranger.

Florida Marlins close to sending Matt Lindstrom to the Astros?
by Joe Capozzi
Hard-throwing reliever Matt Lindstrom might be the first arbitration Marlin to be traded at the winter meetings, and the destination could be Houston.
Although the Marlins haven’t had any success trading 2B Dan Uggla, a source with one National League team said the Marlins are close to sending Lindstrom to the Astros. The Marlins would get prospects in return.
Stay tuned, though, since the Marlins have been “close” to other deals earlier this week that failed to materialize.
But Lindstrom has generated plenty of interest — from at least 10 teams. He’s due to collect about $1.5 million in his first round of arbitration.
The Marlins are hoping to make at least one move before Thursday’s Rule 5 draft. Teams have been balking at Uggla, hoping the Marlins don’t tender him. But the Marlins definitely plan to tender him before Saturday’s deadline if he’s not dealt.
They have IMO the worse farm system in baseball.
