I can already see it..."Marlins did everything possible to sign Johnson, his agent wouldnt budge" as he is traded. This is one of the reasons I dont think a stadium will change anything with how the team is run.

I hate this Front Office. I really don't know what to say. These people are a case study in really dumb people getting into a position of authority without any merit.

Seriously, pay this man his money and give him a god damn 4th year if he wants it. If we get rid of Johnson because of this they (the FO) can go fuck themselves.
Edit - Didnt see there was a second page, wow that was a terrible offer if that's true.

If the Marlins refuse to extend, they should trade him. I have my doubts that this organization can make the right maneuvers to improve the supposedly cash-strapped major league team, so I do not think contention is in line, at least not for next year. If that's the case, there simply isn't any reason to keep him, as it's clear they have no intention of extending him longer than three years, regardless of what arb year he's in or what new financial situations occur due to the stadium.
I think the Marlins honestly wanted a discount like Ramirez's. Doesn't seem like Sosnick wants to buy into that.Marlin Maniac, a Florida Marlins blog

It's four small paragraphs of information. Did it ever occur to you that maybe this is just jockeying being done on the parts of both sides to get the deal they each respectively desire more?

I'm done if they don't do this one. There are no excuses.
Wait, you're saying that this will be the straw that breaks the camels back for you lou? C'mon, you're better than that.
This deal will get done. Book it. And if it doesn't get done, we will absolutely own the trade.
