Do players get waivers on protection status if they have been injured?

At least for options, you can be granted additional options based off injury.

Don't know if it's the same for Rule V status.

Real surprised at Winters not being there. I think we shoulda kept Raynor but oh well (I hate jai and would rather have Raynor as the RHB OF in the minors)

Injuries don't matter for Rule V however most teams will pass on guys who have injuries or are coming off injuries Unless its a big name(Jose Ceda).Winters is a nice pitcher however still few years away and with the injury could be a risk.
