I'd be lying if I said I knew much about any of those guys other than Kumar Rocker, and the fact that Jack is Al's kid. That being said, taking a good college catcher sounds really good to me.

The 2021 MLB Draft will be pushed from June to July 11-13 and take place in conjunction with next year’s All-Star festivities in Atlanta, reports ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel.

Draft is July 11-13. Looks like MLB is pushing the draft guys and dont play them that year strategy

Gonna be AT LEAST 20 rds and Marlins get a 1A Pick this year. With the date moved back a month the 2021 just went from being probably the Best draft talent wise ever to even deeper!!

          2021 Draft(Right now-could change)

Marlins draft #16 and have 1A Pick

Some talk MLB might combine 2019 and 2020 records in which case

Marlins draft #4 or 5 and have 1A Pick

          WATCH out for this!!

Jonathan Mayo has Miami taking LHP Jordan Wicks in his latest mock. You shouldn't really draft for need, but if it's close the Marlins should not be drafting a pitcher over a bat. There are some interesting upside OF guys, but I wouldn't mind seeing them go after one of the two prep catchers. That's been a really risky thing to do in the draft, but with the dearth of catching talent in their system, and picking where they are, it might be worth the risk. Plus, Harry Ford seems like he's athletic enough that he could play all over.

Harry Ford is the guy I'm wanting at 16. I actually wouldn't mind taking another college pitcher at 31 though. Wicks, Bachman, Ty Madden, there's bound to be a quality guy there, and if there's one thing we've proved it's that we develop pitching well. This surplus of pitching is going to turn into a trade for a bat that's immediately ready to contribute it's only a matter of time. Can never have too much pitching.

I'd stay away from Adrian Del Castillo though.

Mat Nelson is a name worth considering either at 31 or 52. Power-hitting catcher.

In Callis’s latest mock he has Miami taking Harry Ford (who has become my top choice for the pick). He says:

Several of the best high school athletes (Benny Montgomery, Ford, Chandler, outfielder Will Taylor) are considerations for the Marlins, as are the collegians mentioned directly ahead of them.
The two college players directly above are Cowser and Wicks. I’d be all for Cowser, but I’d prefer the bats to Wicks.

I assume you mean Harry Ford.

I did, thanks. The Henry Davis/Harry Ford thing throws me off for some reason. Fixed.

There still doesn’t seem to be much of a consensus of what Miami is looking to do. The mocks from the more plugged in guys seem to be all over the place. Jackson and Mish put out an article saying they’re looking at catchers with offensive upside early in the draft and mention the FSU catcher in the second round.

I’m surprised tjfla hasn’t brought up any names he’s heard yet.

I'm not usually a big fan of prep bats but I'm all about Ford this year.
